What is M7? ... It can be anything you want, but it's short for Mt. 7 in Golden. An epicentre of FUN and an amazingly beautiful place! Snowboarding, skiing, Psychosis mtn bike downhill, kayaking, hiking, touring, hang gliding, I could go on, but you get the picture. New product design, re-engineering existing products to suite different and specific needs. Our goal is to build cool innovative gear for outdoor enthusiasts. Get outside & Make Your Mark.

The need for a functional camera bag started it all.

In the past, taking a camera into the elements meant a few things: risking damage to it through direct impact (ouch) moisture, dust, sand or whatever else Mother Nature decided to throw at you. Or making it difficult to access; in your knap sack in a camera bag, in a fanny pack bouncing around or strapped to your body using any extra strap you could find. This made it difficult and time consuming to get at the camera thus usually missing good shots or foregoing good photo ops. For the past 15 years taking my prehistoric Minolta XG-1 snowboarding, hiking, mountainbiking or whatever else required a number of additional straps being rigged up to one of many of my brand X camera bags to be able to wear it on my chest for maximum convenience.

Upon purchasing my first digital camera (Nikon Coolpix 995) in late 2001 and yet another camera case, I was again mickey mousing extra straps to mount the bag on my chest to take it everywhere outdoors. On a new years road trip to Golden to check out Kickinghorse Resort it came to a head: upon returning home from the trip, Dan and I vowed to make a camera bag designed exclusively to be worn on the chest providing quick, easy access and the ultimate in protection.

We learn and evolve………………..

Wow, what an undertaking. First of all coming up with some design ideas, Dan’s sewing machine doing some overtime, some of the the initial designs were crazy and funny: 3 point harness, funky bag entry ideas, industrial strength fabricating, are what led us to the existing product. We even decided to use clay one night and did a number on my whole kitchen, what a gong show……..the kidney bag!! But it provide one of the many creative outlets that got us where we are now.

Our vision is to build a company that thrives on innovation, we build, destroy, show our friends and customers what we’re making, listen and continue the cycle until we have something special.

The “Squiggle” represents our passion for progression and our commitment to making the best products we can. Our process begins with a simple idea rooted in the love of outdoor activities and the gear that’s associated with these activities.

Over time, the idea grows as we tweak, modify, destroy and build it back up. It culminates in gear designed to put a wicked grin on your face.

We dream it, make it, use it and never stop trying to make it better.
